Liceo Journal of Higher Education Research (LJHER)
Declared as CHED-JAS Category A-2 Research Journal

 

   The Liceo Journal of Higher Education Research (LJHER) is now declared a CHED-JAS Category A-2 Research Journal effective September 2015 as stated in CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 29, Series of 2015. This is the second research journal of Liceo de Cagayan University that has received the highest award from the Commission on Higher Education Journal Accreditation Service (CHED-JAS) the first one being the Asian Journal of Biodiversity (AJOB) granted Category A-1 on September 2012 and is also internationally indexed journal by Thomson Reuters (ISI). The Asian Journal of Health (AJOH) obtained its Category B from CHED-JAS on July 2013 and is currently applying for Category A this year.

 

   As part of the incentives of having CHED JAS Category A journals, the University is given a CHED Journal Accreditation Award of P 200,000.00. Publication in the LJHER and AJOB by faculty members is also credited as an international level publication while publication in AJOH is credited as a national level publication. The journals also received CHED endorsement for Library subscription.

 

   LJHER’s Editorial Board of 2013 and 2014 is composed of international research experts known for their research and publication contribution in their respective fields of expertise. They are:

   CHED-JAS is a mechanism through which a national standard for peer review and journal refereeing system can be implemented uniformly to all journals published by HEI’s and other organizations in the Philippines. It ensures that the accreditation of peer reviewed journals is in compliance to the nationally accepted standards of peer review and refereeing.
