Liceo Legal Aid Center Observes Women’s Month

   In line with this years’ celebration of the Women’s Month, the Liceo Legal Aid Center led the Tree Planting Activity on April 9, 2017 at Isla de Oro, Cagayan de Oro City. The activity was undertaken with the support of the College of Law, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, the Liceo Center for Community Development, and the Safer River, Life Saver Foundation Inc. the participants includes judges, lawyers, non-government organizations on the City and women residents, mostly mothers from Isla de Oro. Before the start of the seminar, the participants were treated to a river tour around the Cagayan de Oro River on board the Liceo River Taxi.

   The seminar focused on the crucial role of women in today’s society with resource speakers Judge Eldred Cole, Judge Jerlie L. Requerme, and Judge Alnaiza T. Hassiman. The participants were also given time to share their opinions in response to the talks given. Dr. Rosalina S. Huerbana led the Tree Planting Activity after giving a short orientation to the participants. The activity culminated with the planting of forty-five (45) Lambago seedlings in Isla de Oro.
