Liceo U Continues Its Campaign against Mosquito Dengue

  Through to the University’s commitment in its campaign against mosquito dengue a seminar on how to pass a Barangay Ordinance and Ovi-Trap Making was conducted last April 7, 2017, at the Liceo de Cagayan University North Academic Cluster Building. The seminar was participated in by the representatives of the 12 Barangays with the highest rate of Dengue cases.  The activity was attended by the presence of Dr. Lesley C. Lubos, Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, who discussed the topic on how Ovi-Traps are made. Dr. Felsa A. Labis, Director of Liceo Center for Community Development, gave the rationale of the program and Mr. Oliver N. Plaza II, ETEEAP Director and Political Science Professor, shared his ideas on the passing of an ordinance that may strengthen the Dengue Awareness. This program was initiated by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension and the Liceo Center for Community Development in partnership with the top ten (10) Barangays identified as having the highest rate of Dengue cases.
