Liceo U Conducts 4th Intercollegiate Research Contest

   To cap this year’s research activities, Liceo de Cagayan University, through the leadership of Dr. Lesley Casas, Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, held the 4th Intercollegiate Research Contest on March 10, 2017 at the AVR 3, NAC Building.

 

  The annual event showcased the research outputs of students in Social Sciences Qualitative, Social Sciences Quantitative, Descriptive and Experimental Health Research, and Applied Research. Dr. Ma. Florecilla C. Cinches, Vice President for Academic Affairs, welcomed the participants. In recognition of student’s contribution to research and community extension activities, certificate of excellence was awarded to Ms. Angeline D. Beltran, for winning 3rd Place in the National Health Research Contest, Student Category, during the 10th Philippine National Health Research System Contest last August 9-12, 2016, and to Ms. Anajean J. Jandayan, as Regional Winner of CHED X Volunteerism Story Writing Contest last February 2, 2017.

 

    The judges were Dr. Andrea G. Azuelo from CMU and Ms. Karen Kay Alcesto from DOH for health research category. The evaluators for the social sciences research were Dr. Fernando V. Magdato, Jr.  from USEP and Dr. Apolinar T. Paulican,  from MVC. The applied research outputs were evaluated by Dr. Ray Butch D. Mahinay from DepEd and Dr. Nick C. Pañares from DepEd.
