Liceo U holds Students’ Research Colloquia

   In line with the celebration of the 62nd Founding Anniversary of Liceo de Cagayan University on February 22-25, 2017, various colleges of the University, in coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, conducted a series of students’ research colloquia.

 

   Ten colleges of the University have simultaneous presentations on three different venues: AVR 1, AVR 3, and NAC 306 spread out in the morning and afternoon from February 23-25, 2017. The College of Arts and Sciences and College of Engineering held the research presentations on February 23 from 9:00am-12noon. In the afternoon, the College of Business and Accountancy and the College of Pharmacy conducted their respective colloquium. On February 24, select student researchers from the College of Information Technology and College of Criminal Justice presented their research outputs in the morning while the Colleges of Medical Laboratory Science and Radiologic Technology had their research presentations in the afternoon. On February 25, research students from the College of Teacher Education had their presentations simultaneously with the College of Rehabilitation Sciences.

 

  Also present were the deans, research coordinators, advisers, faculty, and students of each of the college. The activities were also attended by the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos and the RPO Associate Director, Ms. Maria Elena C. Reyes.

 

   The purpose of the research colloquia was to showcase the students’ research skills, to disseminate the findings of the students’ researches among the stakeholders, and to promote the culture of research excellence in the University.
