Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos, Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension facilitated the community empowerment on climate change awareness in GK-SM-BDO Village, one of the adopted communities of Liceo U, on February 3, 2017. After the opening remarks of Dr. Lubos, Mrs. Letecia Macabuac, one of the citizen science, gave a lecture on climate change. A series of videos on climate change were also presented which was followed by group discussions among the residents of the village. The activity was part of the second phase of the collaborative study of Dr. Lubos and Dr. Ma. Florecilla C. Cinches, VPAA on “Empowering and Engaging Communities: A Citizen Science on Climate Change Awareness.”
