Dr. Lesley Casas, the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension and Dr. Ma. Chona V. Palomares, the Dean of School of Graduate Studies of Liceo de Cagayan University attended the 14th General Membership Assembly of the National Research Council of the Philippines Mindanao Regional Cluster held last November 18, 2016 at the Mini-Theater of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City. The assembly was intended for all regular and associate members of the NRCP Mindanao Regional Cluster. In the said event, Dr. Palomares took her oath as one of the new associate members of NRCP. Dr. Lubos is an active and a multi-awarded researcher of Liceo de Cagayan University in the field of biodiversity and a regular member of NRCP.

The keynote speaker in the said assembly was National Scientist Edgardo D. Gomez, who is also the President of the National Research Council of the Philippines. The theme for this year’s annual event was “Research Innovation for Inclusive Development in the Mindanao Region.”
