Liceo U Conducts HIV/AIDS and Mosquito Dengue Health Teachings
and Research Dissemination

   Liceo U continues to fulfill her commitment to research and community service by conducting Health Teachings on HIV/Aids and Mosquito Dengue and Research Dissemination on July 29, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Multi-purpose Building, Gawad Kalinga-SM-BDO, Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City. It was participated by residents from Gawad Kalinga-SM-BDO and Barangay Canitoan Officials.

 

  The activity started with an opening remarks from Mrs. Emma Dejarme, the College of Nursing Research and Community Extension Coordinator. Next were the lectures on HIV/AIDS given by Mrs. Charito Gerong, College of Nursing Faculty Member, and Mosquito Dengue Awareness by Dr. Lesley C. Lubos, the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension. Nursing students Ma. Hannah May Mohammad, Leizel Mae Urbiztondo, Cullen Ray Cabiladas, Dorothy Jane Motoomull, and Reiner Jee Atienza also disseminated the findings of their study entitled “Effects of Iodized and Sea Salt as Control Agents of Mosquito Larvae" for community awareness. The program ended with a closing remarks from Dr. Felsa A. Labis, the Director of Liceo Center for Community Development.

 

   The Office of the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, Liceo Center for Community Development, Liceo U Medical Allied Courses, and the School of Graduate Studies sponsored the activity.
