Liceo U Conducts Mosquito Dengue Awareness Seminar at Barangay Canitoan

    The Liceo Center for Community Development (LCCD) of the Office of the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension OVPRPE) conducted a Mosquito Dengue Awareness Seminar on July 25, 2016 at the Covered Court of Barangay Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City. Participants were composed of barangay officials, health workers, nutrition scholars, and mothers of day care students.

    Hon. Joshua A. Taboclaon (Barangay Chairman of Canitoan) welcomed all of the participants. Dr. Felsa A. Labis (LCCD Director) gave the rationale of the program while Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos (VPRPE and MDFA Mis. Or. Chapter Head) presented relevant information regarding mosquito dengue carriers for the community’s awareness. The seminar ended with a closing remarks by Hon. Hester Sumampan (Committee on Health and Youth Chairman).

  The campaign for mosquito dengue eradication is one of Liceo de Cagayan University’s community extension programs in partnership with the OVPRPE, Mosquito Dengue Fighters Association of the Philippines, and LIMCEBCON.
