Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos, the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension of Liceo de Cagayan University, together with Ms. Maria Elena C. Reyes, Associate Director of Research and Publication Office attended the CHED’S Orientation-Workshop for a Joint Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (IDIG) and Lifelong Learner’s (LL) Program Regional Information Sessions on July 14, 2016 at N Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. The participants were oriented on the transition programs offered by the Commission on Higher Education to address the challenges brought by K to 12 in the higher education institutions from SY2016-2017 to 2020-2021. The highlight of the orientation was on the guidelines for Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (IDIG) under the K to 12 Transition Program as stipulated in CHED Memo 33, Series of 2016. The participating HEIs were encouraged to submit their concept paper on or before July 29, 2016. HEIs that qualify for the Institutional Development Category may avail of P2M-5M grant while those that qualify for Institutional Innovation Category will receive funding of P8m-12M.  The said orientation was attended by representatives from private and public HEIs in Region 10.
