Royal Institution Singapore Honors Liceo U President and
Confers Titles to Administrators

   The Royal Institution Singapore, a global multidisciplinary professional membership and accrediting institution, conferred Dr. Mariano M. Lerin, President of Liceo de Cagayan University, the highest title of Honorary Fellow of Royal Institution (HFRI) on the occasion of the Royal Institution Singapore 16th International Conference and Conferment Ceremony held at Rodelsa Hall, Liceo de Cagayan University, Cagayan de Oro City last February 13, 2018. The honorary title was given by Dr. Samuel M. Salvador, Chancellor of Royal Institution Singapore and Dr. Helen S. Molano, Chief Compliance Officer of Royal Institution, Singapore and President of Royal Institution, Philippines. Dr. Lerin was honored for his valuable contributions as an administrator in the field of education and accounting. He was also conferred as Doctor Fellow of the Royal Institute of Accountants (DFRIAcc).

     During the ceremony, select University administrators were also conferred with the following titles, along with other delegates from various part of the country: Dr. Ma. Florecilla C. Cinches, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Teresita T. Tumapon, Consultant, were conferred the title of Doctor Fellow of the Royal Institute of Educators (DFRIEdr).  Moreover, Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos, Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, was also conferred the title of Senior Fellow of the Royal Institute of Biologists (SFRIBio). Furthermore, Mr. Edwin M. Delos Santos, Jr. was conferred with the title Fellow of the Royal Institute of Accountants (FRIAcc); Dr. Felsa A. Labis, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, with the title of Fellow of Royal Institute of Educators (FRIEdr); Dr. Ma. Chona V. Palomares, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies with the title Fellow of the Royal Institute of Nurses (FRIN); and Dr. Edzen A. Espina, Vice President for Student Personnel Services, with the title Fellow of the Royal Institute of X-Ray Technologists (FRIXT).

      The event commenced with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Research Paper Presentation and Poster Exhibit in the morning at AVR 3 with the theme “Megatrends in Education, Business, and Industry, and Public Administration in the 21st Century and Beyond.” In the afternoon, the Conferment Ceremony at the Rodelsa Hall culminated with the signing of memorandum of agreement between the Royal Institution Singapore and Liceo de Cagayan University, together with other new accredited members. Dr. Marc Alain P. Golez, Executive Vice President for Administration received the Certificate of Appreciation from Royal Institution Singapore for Liceo de Cagayan University as the host of the 16th International Conference and Conferment Ceremony. The international event was attended by participants from the education, business and industry, and administration sectors from both public and private agencies.
