The Office of the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension conducted a Reorientation on Research Policies and Guidelines among the elementary and high school research coordinators, teachers and advisers of Liceo de Cagayan University last January 25, 2017 at AVR 1. The activity was done in coordination with Dr. Ma. Fe. D. Opina, High School Principal, Mrs. Elvy Q. Malabo, Elementary Principal, Mrs. Melody V. Sunogan, OIC High School Principal in Liceo Main Campus, and  Mrs. Mary Grace C. Mesias, OIC High School Principal of Liceo U Paseo Campus to ensure that teachers are aware of the research policies since research is also part of the basic education curriculum.

   Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos, VPRPE, discussed the University Research Policies and Guidelines so that the participants would be oriented on the research protocols. The RPO Assoc. Director, Ms. Maria Elena C. Reyes discussed the functions and responsibilities of the research coordinators, teachers, and advisers and the University format for investigatory project and basic research for elementary and high school students. Concerns of teachers regarding research were addressed during the open forum. As agreed during the activity, a series of research capability for the participants will be conducted this summer to equip the teachers who will handle research subjects next school year.
