LICEO U hosts Marine Life Photo Exhibit

   In celebration of its 63rd Founding Anniversary, Liceo de Cagayan University hosted a Marine Life Photo Exhibit at Rodelsa Lobby on February 23, 2018 through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension and Liceo Mindanao Center for Biodiversity and Conservation (LIMCEBCON) in coordination with the Philippine Association of Driving Instructors (PADI International) to promote marine life awareness. The exhibit featured the photographs of Mr. Jo Nathaniel G. Yasay, who is a self-taught underwater photographer, certified open water diver, certified advance diver, and nitrox certified diver. He has dove Tubbataha, Phillipines; Maldives; Palau; Raja Ampat, Indonesia; Malapascua, Cebu; Moalboal, Cebu; Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte; Anilao, Batangas; Dauin, Dumaguete; Apo Island, Dumaguete; Mactan, Cebu; Duka Bay, Medina; Agutayan Island, Jasaan; and Camiguin Island.  He is a certified diver of the Philippine Association of Diving Instructors (PADI International). 

   The photo exhibit opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by the VPRPE and Director of LIMCEBCON Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos and Mr. Yasay himself. The event was then followed by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Liceo de Cagayan University, represented by Dr. Lubos and Mr. Yasay of PADI International with the purpose of collaborating for awareness campaign,  promotion of marine life protection and conservation, and future research partnership on marine biodiversity. The MOU signing was witnessed by Dr. Felsa A. Labis, Director of the Extension Office—the Liceo Center for Community Development.
