The Department of Science and Technology Region 10 and the Northern Mindanao Consortium for Health Research and Development (NorMinCOHRD) awarded the Licean researchers, headed by the Vice President for Research, Publication, and Extension, Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos, with plaques and certificates of recognition during the Opening Program of the Regional National Science and Technology Week Celebration last September 19, 2017 at the Atrium, Limketkai Mall. Dr. Mariano M. Lerin, the University President also attended the awarding ceremonies.

 

Dr. Lubos received a Plaque of Recognition as Region 10 representative and as the National Finalist for the Professional Poster Category during the 11th Philippine National Health Research System held at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City last August 24-25, 2017 for his collaborative study with DOH on Potability of Water Supply Using Conventional and PML Methods to Select Salintubig Projects in Region 10. Likewise, Ms. Quennie O. Cabaluna of the College of Pharmacy was also given the Plaque of Recognition as the Region 10 representative and National Finalist in the Student Poster Category together with her adviser, Dr. Mercedita Aquino.    

 

Moreover, faculty and student researchers who won in the Regional 11th PNHRS last June 1, 2017 were also given certificates of recognition: Dr. Edzen A. Espina (VP-SPS) for the Professional Category – Research Paper/Oral Presentation for his study on Radioprotective Effect of Moringa oleifera (Lam.) Methanolic Leaf Extracts to the Irradiated Webster White Mice; Dr. Lesley Casas Lubos as the Project Leader of two collaborative studies with DOH: Knowledge, Attitude and Behaviors Related to Climate Change In Cagayan De Oro City: Implications On Public Health Policies and Practices and  with Dr. Judy Marie R. Zoleta for the study on the Potability of Water Supply Using Conventional and PML  Methods to Select Salintubig Projects in Region 10; Sheena Kris Loise B. Bermiso, Quennie O. Cabaluna, Mariel Anngilie P. Campoamor, and Quinnie Velle Taculod (College of Pharmacy) with Dr. Aquino as adviser;  Arvin Jay B. Rabina, Edriane S. Fuertes, Philip John D. Aboniawan, Dwight P. Bontuyan, May C. Cantero, and Yasnodin M. Malambut (College of Medical Laboratory Science) with  Dr. Zoleta as adviser.
